Size Guide

How denim sizing works here

Every pair is sized in US waist and inseam, written waist first. A 32/32 is a 32-inch waist with a 32-inch inseam. Where a style is listed with a single number, that number is the waist and the inseam is fixed for that style — several styles hold one inseam across every waist, which is noted in the product description.

Waist and inseam

Measurement Range carried How to measure
Waist 28, 29, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 Measure around your natural waist where the jean sits, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight.
Inseam 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38 Measure from the crotch seam straight down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem to finish.
Rise Below the waist on most fits Measure from the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband on a pair that already fits you.
Leg opening Narrow on skinny, wide on baggy Lay the jean flat and measure straight across the hem, then double it.

Tops

A few styles are sized in letters rather than numbers.

Those run S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL. Measure across the chest under the arms on a garment you already wear, lay the flat measurement against the same point, and size up if you are between two.

Getting it right first time

Measure a pair you already own and like rather than measuring yourself.

Lay them flat, take the waist across the top of the waistband and double it, then take the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem. Compare those two numbers to the ranges above. If you are between sizes, the fit decides: go up on skinny and slim cuts, which have no room to spare, and stay on your measured size for baggy, cargo and wide leg cuts, which already have it. Stacked styles are cut long on purpose. Not sure? Call (585) 254-7080 or email support@jeanfactoryrochester.com.
